Examination Text | Richard Holland aged 55 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the County of Middlesex passed from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the said county upon his oath saith that he is a Carver by trade and lived in and rented a house in Mercer Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of three years at the yearly rent of 15 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 23 years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that he was married to his wife Alice at the Fleet about 37 years ago. Sworn the 12th Day of September 1765 before Peter Planck. |
