Examination TextRichard Lemigne about 30 years of age in the workhouse saith that he never was bound an apprentice nor a yearly hired servant, that he was born on the East side of that part of Rose Street which comes into Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields where his Father Paul Lemigne then lodged, that his said Father Paul Lemigne who was a Button Maker kept house in Mercer Street in the Parish of St Martin next to Mr Jackson's Brewhouse, but that he never heard what rent he paid by his said Father there, that his Father and mother kept the same together about 20 years and that they both died therein, and that they nor either of them kept any other house as he ever heard, that he was married to Mary his wife at the Hand and Pen in the Fleet about six months ago, and that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes.
