Examination TextSarah Flavell aged 30 years in the workhouse saith she is the widow of Elkington Flavell (who died 12 months ago) to whom she was married at the Bull and Garter at the Fleet about three years ago, that he was a Corporal in Colonel Pearce's Cmpany in the Foot Guards and never was bound an apprentice kept a house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant as she ever heard, that he hath told her he was a Leicestershire man but that she never heard the name of the place of his birth, saith that when she was married him she was a single woman and that about seven years ago she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Moreton at the end of Round Court in the Strand whom she served there three years together had 5 pounds by the year wages diet and lodging and never lived a year in any service since, hath no child children living.
