Examination TextSarah Tuff aged 26 years lodging at a house let out in tenements in Kinastons Alley where she had lodged a fortnight saith she was married to Robert Tuff her husband at the sign of the Two Sawyers in the Fleet 11 years ago, that he has been gone from her about two years and knows not where he is, that he is a Lighterman and was bound apprentice by indenture for seven years to one Thomas Grimes, Lighterman who then lived in Durham Yard in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields where and with whom he served all his apprenticeship which expired near seven years ago and hath not kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes since, hath no child living. Sworn the 11th Day of December 1739 before me Val Hilder.
