Examination TextPhillis Gregory aged 65 years lodging at Mr Temple's in Turner's Court where she hath lodged near eight years saith she never was married bound apprentice kept a house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Kay who then kept an alehouse the sign of the Black Horse in Bedfordbury near Shandois Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and served an entire year and had 3 pounds per ann. wages diet and lodging, that she quitted that service about 26 years ago and hath not lived a year in any service since. Sworn the 15th Day of November 1740 before James Fraser.
