Examination TextMary Russell aged 33 years (in the workhouse) saith she is the wife of Peter Russell, who now lives with his father James Russell, a Barber in Vine Street by Round Court, to whom she was married at the sign of the Bull and Garter in the ffleet by Dr Wyatt upwards of a year ago, that her said husband was bound apprentice by indenture for seven years to Mr Gordon, a Barber and Peruke Maker in Suffolk Street, whom he there served about six years and then ran away from his said Master and went to sea where he continued one year and an half, that he lodged in Mr Gordon's house in Suffolk Street aforesaid four years before his time expired, she being then a servant to the said Mr Gordon, and that her said husband never kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant.
