Examination TextLydia Blackwell aged 31 years removed from Bridgnorth in the County of Salop upon her oath saith she was married to her present [husband] John Blackwell (but where he now is knows not) in the ffleet about 13 years ago, that her said husband was bound an apprentice to one Richard Sands a Coach and House Carver who lived in a place then called Cooks Alley and now Turners Court leading from Bedfordbury to St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields where and with whom he continued to serve all his said apprenticeship which expired about 11 years ago since which he never kept any house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or hath been a yearly hired servant since, hath four children living, Frances aged almost 12, with her grandmother, John aged about 11 years, also with his grandmother, Charles aged upwards of eight years and James aged six years both with this Examinant. Sworn the 29th day of July 1742 before me James Fraser.
