Examination Text | Rebecca Swanwick aged 33 years lodging at one Mrs. Hatten in Church Lane in the parish of St. Martin in the Fields saith she is the wife of William Swanwick who has been gone from her two months ago, that she was married to him at the Old Hand and Pen in the Fleet about 13 years ago by whom she hath no children living, that her said husband was born in the Mews in the said parish and that his father was a Coachman to Queen Ann and kept a house in Princess Court in Hedge Lane in the said parish but does not know how long, that her said husband never was bound apprentice or a yearly hired servant never kept house rented ten pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes. Sworn the 21st day of June 1745 before me James Fraser. |
