Examination TextMary Peacock aged 39 years lodging in Pump Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith she is the wife of John (who has been gone from her this four years) to whom she was married at the Fleet about 10 years ago, that he was a Shoemaker by trade and served his time somewhere in Ireland, that he lived in and rented an house in Coventry Court in the Haymarket for the space of three years and paid 18 pounds per ann. besides all taxes, quitted the same about five years ago and never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant since he left her, that she has one child by him now living to wit James aged eight years at Mr Coffee's, a Shoemaker by the Minories. Sworn the ninth day of June 1745 before James Fraser.
