Examination TextAnn Shawford aged 33 years lodging at Mr Thomas Perry's a Peruke Maker in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Joseline Shawford to whom she was married about 14 years ago at Edgeworth, that he lived in and rented a house for the space of two years and upwards in Hunts Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields at the yearly rent of 20 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about seven years ago and never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since, and that she hath three children now living by him to wit Joseline aged 13 years, Ann aged 12 years and William aged eight years, and that her said husband has been gone from her upwards of three years. Sworn the 17th Day of November 1746 before Daniel Gach, James Fraser.
