Examination TextMary Mather aged 42 years lodging at Mr Wickes in Charles Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith she is the widow of John Mather (who died on the 15th Day of April last) to whom she was married the Fleet three years ago, that he was a Stocking Trimmer by trade and was bound apprentice by indenture bearing date the 26th Day of July 1724 for the space of 7 years to Thomas Tracy of Bennetts Court in the Strand in the said Parish, Silk Stocking Trimmer, and there served the whole time after which he never kept any house or apartment of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant, that she hath no child. Sworn the 19th Day of September 1745 before James Fraser.
