| Examination Text | Ann Smith aged 20 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she never was married bound apprentice kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parochial taxes, but that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Pope Periwig Maker in Russell Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years at the yearly wages of 3 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about a year ago and never was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken this 19th Day of February 1747. |
