Examination TextMary Carr, aged forty one Years and upwards on her Oath saith, that she is the Widow of Thomas Carr, who died about Ten Years ago and upwards; to whom she was married at the Parochial Church of saint Mary Le Bone in the County of Middlesex by Licence about Nineteen Years ago. That since the Decease her said Husband she was a yearly hired Servant to Mr. Ealand, (late parish clerk of St. Martin in the fields) in Duke Court near Drury Lane in the aforesaid parish of Saint Martin in the Fields, within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex for the space of Sixteen Months all under one hiring at the yearly Wages of five pounds five shillings Diet and Lodging, quitted the Same about Six years since and hath not done any Act gain a subsequent Settlement. // Sworn the 30th day of June 1786 Before J Hale // [signed Mary Carr] // NB had a Childliving abt 9 or 10 Yrs of Age, NRt // Quitted in June 80 DLWd
