Examination TextElizabeth Frost Aged about 29 Years upon her Oath saith that she is the Widow of John Frost who Died about Eight Years ago and to whom She was Married at the Parish Church of St David in the City of Exeter about Twelve Years ago, That since her said Husband Decease she having no Child living was a Yearly hired servant to Mr. Hall of Long Acre in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex for the Space of Fourteen Months & upwards all under One Hiring at the Yearly Wages of Eight Pounds Diet & Lodging quitted the same about a Month since. And this Deponant voluntary upon her Oath saith that she is long with Child or Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards & to become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields And that John Jones a Bellhanger lodging at Mr. Jones in Greens Court near Berwick Street Soho had carnal Knowledge of her Body some Time in the beginning of last November at a House in White Lion Street in the Parish of St Giles in the ffields & several Times after at one of which Times he the said John Jones did beget upon her Body the Child or Children she now goeth with &is pregnant of & that he the said John Jones is the true & only ffather thereof & no Man else. // Sworn this 1st Day of June 1786 before John Collick // [signed Elizabeth Frost] // LAWd // P
