Examination Text | James Morton aged fifty four years on his Oath saith, that he lived in and rented a House in Shelton Court near Bedford Bury in the parish of St. Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex for the space of Eight years at the Yearly Rent of Seventeen Pounds besides Taxes, quitted the same about nine years ago that he was married to his present Wife Janet in the Parish Church of St. Anne Westmr. in the year 1780 that he hath not kept House rented a Tenement of ten pounds by the Year, paid parish Taxes nor hath been a yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve Months together since. // Sworn this 13th Day of March 1786 Before Wm Hyde // [signed Jas Morton] // B By Wd // Pr |
