DescriptionRead the Petition of Harriet Love 14 years of age, of the Parish of Clapham Surrey, where her Father is a Carpenter & has six Children, of whom Petitioner is the youngest. She left home six weeks since by the Persuasion of a young woman, by the name of Cherry, who lives No. 4 Bolster Court Whitechapel, & whose friends reside at Clapham. A month ago she stole a Watch from a Gentleman, who had accompanied her home, & pledged it: He recognised her a fortnight afterwards in a Butcher's shop - she was apprehended committed to Prison & convicted; but her sentence respited, in order that she might be delivered over to the Refuge for the Destitute. Admitted.
