Nominateing and Electing Church Wardens for the
parish was in the parishoners at Large being Inhabitants
paying Scott and Lott and not confirme to lay select Number
of men

Whereupon the said Rector and pretended Auntient
or Vestry men without the Consent of the rest of the Inhabitants
of the said pish then prsent did amongst themselves Elected
afterwards Declare Thomas Cullen< no role > and John Bissell< no role > Two
Inhabitants of the said Parish Church Wardens of the
parish for the Yeare Ensueing And on the contrary
Major part of the Inhabitants then prsent did Elect &
John Henley< no role > and John Williamson< no role > Two honest & able g [..]
Inhabitants within the said parish to be Church Wardens
for this prsent Yeare

Afterwards each party insisting upon their Right
the said Eleccon did cause Caveats to be Entred wch the
propper officer in the Arch Deacons Court of Middx rate
End that each parties Right as to the said Eleccon might
heard before the Judge of the same Court who is the propper
Officer to Sweare the Church Wardens before any of the
aforesaid psons Soe as aforesaid Elected should be Sw [..]

But before any Caveat was warned on either side or any
done further therein the said Thomas Cullen< no role > and John Bissell< no role >
did on the first day of Easter Terme cause his Maties Co [..]
Kings Bench at Westmr to be moved on their behallfe for
Maties Writt of Mandamus Alleadgeing that they were due [..]
Churchwardens of the said pish wch was granted according
directed to the Venerable George Bramston Doctr of Lane
of the said Arch Deacons Court comanding him to Swear
said Thomas Cullen< no role > and John Bissell< no role > into the said office of
Wardens on prsente that they were duely Elected
