A Generall Meeting of the Inhabitants of this Parish Pursuant
to an Adjournemt- made ye 10th- Instant to receive Proposalls
for repairing & Erecting ye intended Workhouse & for makeing
a Rate for doeing ye same

Proposalls of Mr- Jonathan White< no role > Carpenter & Robt-
Whetwine Bricklayer Read for repairing & Erecting the sd-
Intended Workhouse for ye Sume of £680, £150, Part thereof
to be paid as Soon as ye 2d- Floaris laid & £150, more when
Tyled in & ye remaining Partis Complented

Proposalls of Thos- Boultney< no role > & Jno- Hedges< no role > rend for
Repairing and Erecting ye sd- Intended Workhouse for the sume of
£620, to be paid halfe ye amount wn ye new Workhouse is Covered
in & ye other moyety within three Months after finished & to be
pd- for everything that shall be done more yr 10t is menconed in ye
Articles & Use all ye Old Materialls as farr as Usefull

Proposalls of Jno- Edwards< no role > Carpenter & Edwd- Humphrys< no role >
Bricklayer Read for repairing & Erecting ye sd- Intended Workhouse
for £740:12:0

Agreed Nemine Contradicente with Mr- Meadman to repaire
Erect & New front ye sd- intended Workhouse & to make draines and
all other Necessary Conveniencys for conveying Water etc for the
Sume of £600, bring a lower Sume than any menconed in ye Proposalls
given in by the Sevll- Workmen above menconed and they by their
Proposall only to repaire & not New front ye old Building

Resolved that ye Church Warden or any other Gentleman that
Will give themselves ye Trouble do Enquire how the Sevll- other Parishes
that have Erected Workhouse have raised ye moneys for doeing
the Same

Adjourned this Genll- Vestry to this day 7 night at
three in ye afternoon for ye further Consideration of
this Affaire
