A Generall Meeting of ye Inhabitants of ye Parish Pursuant to notice given in ye Church the
Sunday 7 night before for ye Erecting a Workhouse
in this Parish & for makeing
a Rate for doeing the same
A Mocon made & seconded whether ye plan brot in by Mr. Meadman wch
will containe abt. 200 Persons be sufft. for ye intended Workhouse
or not
Resolved Nemine Contradicente yt ye Plan brt. in by Mr. Meadman of
ye Repaires of ye old 3 Tons ye New building is Sufft. at Present for ye intended
Workhouse
A Mocon being made whether a Rate be now Ordered to be made for ye
Encouragemt. of Workmen to bring in their Proposalls & to be Sure of being Pd
Wn their Work is Performed
Adjourned this Mocon till ye next Genll-Vestry
Resolved ye Church Warden doe Put in an Advertisemt. in ye Day by post
three days togeather for Workmen to bring in their Proposalls seated up to ye
next Genll-Vestry
Resolved that ye Genll-Vestry be adjourned to this day 4t night for the
further Consideration of this affaire
A Complt. madengt. ye Beadles for not doeing their Duty in removing
ye Beggars out of ye Streets & Seconded
The Beadles being Sent for were reprimanded by ye Church Warden & ordered
to doe their Duty [..] to prevent [..] Further Complaints
