aforesaid(one whereof being of the Quorum)in Order to Raise a Competent
Sum or Sums of Money for & towards the Necessary Releife of the Same
Impotent Old Blind & other Poor of the said [..] Parish pursuant
to the sevll. Acts of Parliamt. in that Case made & provided & also
for such other Purposes as in the severall Acts relating to the Poor
are mentioned which said Rate is made in the Column of this Book
Entitled the first Rate.

And also one other Rate Entitled

A further Taxation Rate or Assessment made & Assessed
the 23d. Day of December 1741 on the sevll. Persons whose
Names are herein after mentioned Inhabitants of the Parish of St.
Clement Danes in the County of Middx by as whose Names are here
under written being Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of St. Clement Danes by & with the Consent of Two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx(one
whereof being of the Quorum)in Order to Praise a Competent Sum
or Sums of Money for & towards the Necessary Releife of the Same
Old Impotent Blind & other Poor of the said Parish pursuant
to the several Acts of Parliamt. in that Case made & provided and
also for such other Purposes as in the sd. Severall Acts Relating
to the Poor are mentioned which sd. Rate is made in the Column
of their Book Entitled the Second Rate.

N: B: There was no other Rate made for the Year 1740 than that afore-
-mentioned after the Rate of One Shilling & Six Pence in the Pound Rents
which Rate was Collected Quarterley on the Inhabitants according to the
Custom of the Said Parish & the other Two Rates were made for this present-
Year 1741 & Collected Quarterley, according to the said Custom so that there is a
Moiety of the last Rate as gett uncollected which will be due Lady Day
next-

Are the said Severall Rates or any of them under their severall
Titles aforesd. Good Rates in the Law.

If the Assessment according to the Pound Rate had been appeared
from I think it should have been Quashed at the Sessions but not
being so it will stand Good The other Two Rates I see no Objection
to Except that the Times for which they are made is not mentioned
