From the Commissioner for Paving Westminster Etc
Westminster Bridge Office June 8th. 1773

Ordered That when any Streets or Places are New Paved and the Inhabitants
or Proprietors of Houses therein shall neglect to place proper Places or Stones to cover their
Coal Holes with in One Week after Notice given to them by the respective Inspectors to the
Committees that the several Committees be at Liberty to cause such Holes to be paved
over or secured in such Manner as they shall think proper to prevent Accidents.

pursuant to an Act of Parliament in the Vestry Room of Saint Clement
Danes the 18th. day of June 1773.

Proposed and Agreed that Mr. Kitchiner take the Chair

The Minutes of the last Meeting read and confirmed.

The Committee having in pursuance of the Commrs. Order of the
25th. of May last and 15th. Instant Advertised for Contracts for Paving the several
Streets and Places in the said orders mentioned And Also for the Lighting any
Number of Lamps (not exceeding 450) and in the same manner as the last
Lighting was Contracted for, for any Term not more than three years from Michas
next And Williams Meredith proposing to this Committee to do the Carriage ways
of the said Places in the manner following that is to say New Pibble Paving at
4s:6d per Yard Labour and Gravil to Old 10d. per Yard Purbeck Squares six Inches.
Deep at 6s. per Yard, Footways - Moorestone Kirb at 1s:7d. per foot New Purbeck
Paving 5s:9d. per yard Ditto old Squared and Relaid at 10d. per, Yard And
David Davy proposing Paving White Horse yard and any other places with
Purbeck Squares at 4s:6d per yard to find labour and Gravel Purbeck Paving
