to wit Mary Godfrey< no role > aged about 35 years upon
her Oath saith that she never was married That
on the 4th. day of Septr. 1778 she was delivered of a
Male Bastard Child at the House of one Mr.
Wheeler in Essex Street in the Strand in the
Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of
Middlesex which hath since been Christend
by the Name of James< no role > That one Edward
Cooper< no role > who lives as a Servant with one
Colonel [..] Fotheringham at Ealing Place in the County
of Middx is the Father thereof he having had
Carnal of this Ext. Body and begotten the
said Child of which she was so delivered
as aforesaid and that the said Edward Cooper< no role >
is the only real and true father thereof
