to wit Susannah Giles< no role > Singlewoman aged twenty eight
Years or thereabouts upon her Oath saith that she never was
married, that she never Rented any House or Tenement of
ten pounds a Year or paid taxes nor was ever bound as
an Apprentice-Saith that she lived as an hired Yearly
Servant with Mr. Stunt a Shoemaker in Devereux Court
in the Parish of Saint [..] Clement Danes in the
County of Middlesex for upwards of two Years at the
Yearly Wages of Eight Pounds, that she has quitted
his Service about seven or eight Months ago, and has
not since quitting the same done any Act whereby to
the best of her Knowledge she may have gained or
acquired any subsequent Settlement-And further
this Examinant upon her voluntary oath saith that she
is now pregnant with a Child or Children which is
or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and
to become chargeable to the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes , she this Examinant being poor and unable
to maintain the same when born and that
Edward Riley< no role > who lived as a Footman with Mr. Maniac
a Jeweller at Clerkenwell is the father of such
Child or Children whereof she this Examinant is
so pregnant he the said Edward Riley< no role > having had
Carnal Knowledge of this Examinants Body in or about the
Month of November 1786 and begotten the same
thereon
