Reputed Father

(to wit) Mary Rainer< no role > singlewoman aged 22
years or thereabouts Upon Oath saith that She
never was Married that on or about the 29th
day of October last at the Workhouse or Poor House
belonging to the [..] parish of St Clement Danes
and situate within the same she was delivered
of a Female Bastard Child which [..] hath been
half Baptized by the name of Margaret Rainer< no role > and become chargeable to the said parish
that Clovely Shoemaker now or late a Lodger at the
Blackmoor's Head in Hedge Lane in the
Liberty of Westminster and County of Middlesex
is the only real true father of the said Child of
which she was so delivered as aforesaid he having
carnal knowledge of this Deponent's Body
on or about the fifth day of May last and begotten
the said Child thereon
