Ann Ely< no role > aged about 22 years upon Oath says
She never was married and that She lived a hired
yearly Servant upwards of two Years with one Mr.
Pugson a Hosier in the Parish of St. Peter in
Nottingham and hath not since lived in any other
Service for a Year Rented Ten pounds a Year or paid
Taxes And further upon her Voluntary Oath says
She is pregnant with Child or Children which is or are
likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable
to the Parish of St. Clement Danes She being poor and
unable to Maintain the same when born; and that
one Thomas Ranketti< no role > an Italian living with Mr.
Sallow a Bust or Figure Maker in Holborn did beget
the said Bastard Child or Children he having had
carnal knowledge of her Body in the beginning of
April last and at several other times since in the
House of Mrs. Wilkinson in the Strand , within the said
Parish of Saint Clement Danes at one of which times
he got her with Child of the Child or Children with which
She is now pregnant and that the said Thomas Ranketti< no role >
and no other person did beget the same.
