Ann Hughes< no role > aged about 27 Years upon
Oath says she never was married nor ever rented
Ten Pounds a year paid Taxes was an Apprentice
or lived a hired Yearly Servant for one year; says
her Father Nicholas Hughes< no role > now Rents a house &
farm in the Parish of Lancarvan in the County of
Glamorgan in South Wales of the Yearly Rent of
One hundred Pounds or thereabouts, and hath so
done for a great many Years And further upon
her Voluntary Oath says she is pregnant with Child
or Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard
or Bastards and to become chargeable to the Parish
of St. Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster &
County of Middlesex where she now lodges; says that
Jonathan Davis< no role > a Journeyman Taylor had carnal
knowledge of her body about the latter End of the
Month of January last and at several other times
since, at one of which times he got her with Child
of the Child or Children with which she is now
pregnant and that the said Jonathan Davis< no role > and
no other Person did beget the same.
