Ann Culbirt< no role > aged about 21 years removed from
the Parish of St. Giles in the Fields by Order dated the 4th:
day of March 1762 upon Oath says she never was Married That
she lived a hired yearly Servant with Mr. Jacks a Taylor in
Hollywell Street in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the
County of Middx for upwards of Two years at the yearly
wages of £3..10s Quitted the Same about Two years and hath
not since rented any House or been a hired yearly Servant
for one year And further upon her Voluntary
Oath Says she is now pregnant with Child or Children
which is likely to be Born a Bastard or Bastards and to
become Chargeable to the said Parish of St. Clement Danes
she being Poor and unable to maintain the Same when
Born And that one John Eggom< no role > a Shoemaker did beget
such Child or Children he having had carnal Knowledge
of her Body in or about the Month of August last and
once afterwards at one of which time she got her with
Child of the Child or Children with which she is now
pregnant also says she has been informed that the
said John Eggom< no role > is gone to reside at Scows near
wigan in Lancashire and which information she
verily beleives tobe true.
