Catharine Ryan< no role > aged abt. Nineteen years Lodging
in Nags head Court Drury Lane in the Parish of St. Clemt. Danes in
the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middx. Upon her Voluntary Oath
says She never was Married And that she is pregnant with Child
or Children which is likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to
become chargeable to the said parish of St. Clement Danes she
being poor and Unable to Maintain the same when born Says
that One Thomas Peeling< no role > a Sawyer in Nags head Court aforesd.
had carnal knowledge of this Examinants Body soon after Christmas
last and at several other times since at one of which times he
get her with Child of the Child or Children with which she is now
Pregnant And that he the said Thos. Peeling< no role > and no other person
did beget the same. Says she has been informed & which
Information she believes to be true that her Father Chas
Ryan
< no role > Rented a house near the Angel Inn in the said Parish
of St. Clement Danes of the Yearly Rent of Sixteen Pounds
or thereabouts and lived therein about Two Years that after
her said father Quitted the house by the Angel Inn he
Rented a house in a Court by the Green Man near London
Wall but at what Yearly Rent or how long he lived in
the same this Examinant knoweth not.
