Upon Oath says she never was Married and that
she lived a hired Yearly Servant for One Year & a half
at Mr. Smith's the Coach and horses Alehouse at Temple
Bar in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County
of Middx. at the Yearly Wages of £3 and hath
Quitted said Service abt. Ten Months And
further upon her Voluntary Oath
says is pregnant with Child or Children which is
likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to
become chargeable to the said Parish of St. Clement
Danes she being poor and unable to Maintain the
same when born says that One Roger Swift< no role > a
Barber had carnal knowledge of her Body sometime
in the Month of October 1759 at the house of Mrs. Walker
the Spptted Dog in Clements Lane at which time he
got her with Child of the Child or Children with which
she is now Pregnant and that he the said Roger Swift< no role >
and no other person did beget the same And further
says she has been informed & believes that the said
Roger Swift< no role > is on Board One of his Majesty's Ships of War [..]
