Elizabeth Evans< no role > aged abt. 23 years Removed from the Parish
of St. Mary le Bon in the County of Middx to the Parish of St.
Clement Danes in the same County by Order under the hands
and seals of two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace Upon her
Voluntary Oath says she is pregnant with Child or Children
which is likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become
chargeable to the said Parish of St. Clement Danes she being
Poor & Unable to Maintain the same when Born says that
One Francis Costa< no role > als Coster a Taylor had Carnal knowledge
of her Body at her Mistress's house in Gloucester Street by
Queens Square in the Month of September 1759 and at
several other times since at One of which times he get
her with Child of the Child or Children with which she
is now Pregnant and that the said Francis Coster< no role > als
Coster and no other Person is the true & real father
thereof. says she lived a hired yearly Servant with Mr.
Scott a Taylor in Stanhope Street in the Aforesaid
Parish of St. Clement Danes for One year & upwds.
at the Yearly Wages of Six Pounds & hath Quitted
said Service Upwards of One year And has not
since Rented Ten pounds a year paid Parish Taxes
or lived a hired yearly Servant for One year
