to wit Eleanor Johnson< no role > Aged about Twenty Six years on
her Oath Says she never was Married Rented House or paid Taxes
says she lived a hired yearly Servant with one John Baker< no role > a
Stone Mason in Water Street in the Parish of St Clement Danes
in the County of Middlesex for Three years and a half at the
yearly Wages of Five Pounds hath Quitted her said Service
upwards of Ten years ago and hath not Since Quitting the same
ever Rented House paid Taxes lived a hired yearly Servant
for one year any otherwise gained a subsequent Settlement
And further on her Oath says that on the 17th day July
1773 she was delivered of a female Bastard Child named
Mary< no role > , in the house of one Mr Martin a Blacksmith in
Wild Court Wild Street in the Parish of St Giles in the
fields in the said County of Middlesex , and further upon
her Oath say that one William Waits< no role > , late a footman to John
Barwell
< no role > Esqr in Golden Square and who is now (as she
believes) gone to India , but with what Captain and on
board what Ship she cannot set forth, but that he the said
William Waits< no role > and no other person did beget the same
and that he is the real and true father thereof
