which stood against the Scaffold then
at which Instant he heard the Scaffold
crack up above upon which he
withdrew two Steps back and the
Scaffold fell down instanly and
as soon as the Dust subsided he
observed the deceased and another
Man under the Scaffold whereupon
this Deponent pulled out the deced
from under the Scaffold at which
time he was Speechless and motionless
and then the Bricklayer who was
also at work there assisted this Depont.
in taking the other man from under
the Scaffold who was not sensible
nor could he speak and this Depont
and said Bricklayer with that
Assistance conveyed the deceased

and the Person to the Westmr. Infirmary
by which time then were not any Signs
of Life in the deceased and this Depont.
is of opinion that his Death was
occasioned by one of the Ledgers
breaking by which means the Scaffold
fell down with the deceased and the
other Person who were upon it

4 o Clock Yesterday in Afternoon the deceased &
the other Person were brot. to the Infirmary
at which time the Surgeon said there was
little or no Pulsation in the deceased and
that he was quick dead before they could
undress him and put him to Bed
