Informations of Witnesses taken this
29th. day of January 1795 in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square at the Dwelling
House of Mr. Hair No 104 in New Bond
Street in the Liberty aforesaid before
Anthony Gell< no role > His Majesty's Coroner
for the said City and Liberty touching
the death of Elizabeth Clarke< no role > then
and there lying dead as follow, to Wit

John Hair< no role > of No. 104 New Bond Street Grocer being sworn
deponth that on Tuesday Evening the 27th: Instant the
deceased who was a Servant of this Deponent was in [..] health went to
Bed about 11 o'Clock but previous to that time she had [..]
a Brazier of lighted Charcoal into her Room to an [..]
but it is supposed to [..] been [..] put out of her Room when [..]
she went to Bed as it was on the outside of the door the
next morning, that as the deceased was not come down
Stairs the said next Morning by [..] oClock Vizt. Wednesday ye. 20th.
Mr. Hairsent his Shop boy up Stairs to [..]
and he called her and knocked loudly at the Chandler door
but she made no reply, wherefore he went down Stairs and
informed his Master of the Circumstance who sent him [..]
Stairs a second time, by which time, Mr. Coopa Martinwas gone up
Stairs to call up Mr. Davis [..] who Dept in the adjoining room
and as his door was fastned and he did not Answer to his Friends
sell due burst his door open and found Mr. Davis [..] speechless a [..]
