Informations taken this fourth day
of January. 1786 at the Parish of St. Martins
in the Fields with in the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of
Alexander Anderson< no role > lying dead in
the said Parish Liberty & County.

George Norman< no role > of John's Court in the
Parish of St. James Westmr . Stick Dresser
on his Oath saith That between Twelve
and One o'Clock Yesterday Morning
Dept. was at the King of Prussice a
Publick House the Corner of said Court
when Alexander Anderson< no role > the Deced
came in and they Drank a Pint of
Beer together and Deced went home with Dept.
and went to Bed with his Apprentice
who in about five Minutes called
to Dept. to come up for the Deced would
not lye in Bed, upon which Dept. went
up and found the Deced got out of Bed
and would not stay but would go out,
the Deced then looking very wild
Says that the Deced had no Money and
Dept. lent him three pence half penny
and Deced went away saying that he
would go to the Red Lyon Piccadilly
the Deced being Sober but appeared to
be disturbed in it Moud, and Deced then
said that he would return in the
Morning to Breakfast with Dept. but
did not, and about Ten o'Clock Dept.
was informed that a Drowned Man was at
St. Martin's Work house, Says that he
went there and found it to be the
Deced, and was informed that he was
found Drowned in the Thames of the Bottom
of Dirty Lane in that Parish but Dept.
observed no Marks of violence upon the
Deced.
