Informations taken this Ninteenth
day of August 1785 at the Parish of St.
Margaret William the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Midsex upon on Inquistn
touching the death of William Masters< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Richard Lightfoot< no role > House Surgeon at the Westmr
Hospital on his Oath saith, That on Wednesday
last the Seventeenth Instant about Seven o'Clock
in the Morning Dept. was desired to go
to the Deced whom he found lying upon the
Stairs in his Dwelling House in Ship Yard
in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr . being
unable to speak, but Breathed, and Dept.
thought that he was Intoxiated, Says that
he was informed that the Deced was seen
Hanging and that the Cord had broken
and Dept. saw the Mark of the Cord about
the Deced's Neck, Says that the Deced was
moved upon the Bed, and Dept. tryed
every Method to restore the Deced to Life
Says that he was in hopes of doing so
at first, but all means proved
infactual, Says that the deced died
about two o'Clock the next Morning as
Dept. was informed, and that it was
in consequence of being Hanged.

the Deced on her Oath saith That on Tuesday
Night last about Eleven o'Clock the Deced
came home very much in Liquor and come
into Bed to Dept. who did not drop to Sleep
until One o'Clock, Says that after five o'Clock
Dept. awoke, and Missing the Deced the Dept. got
