Informations taken this Eighteenth
day of January 1780 at the Parish of
St. James within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Thomas Ireland< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Hannah Powell< no role > late Servant to Thomas
Ireland
< no role > the Deced on her Oath saith, That
she has lived with the Deced about four
months, That the Deced on Thursday
Morning last (Jany. 13th.) after Breakfast
Dept. said he was to go to the Treasury
to receive some Money, That he was
soon after taken ill with a violent and and went to Eye
down upon the Bed in his Bed Chamber
Says that she went into the Bed Chamber
and observed the Bed to shake very
much and the Deced upon it, and on
Dept. asking Deced what was the Matter
he answered that he could not tell
but was very ill, and desired her to
leave him, that he might sleep says
that she went to her Mistress in the neat Room who went
to Deced 7 returned immediately, Says
that in about three Minutes Dept. went
in again, and Deced desired her to reach
him the Bason to spit into, and then
Dept. observed some Blood upon Deced's Chin,
and called her mistress, who came & asked
Deced if he had burst a Blood Vessal, to
which he answered that he had not, and
Mrs. Ireland then discovered a Wound in
Deced's Throat which frightened Mrs. Ireland
much, and Dept. saw much Blood upon
