Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of Wm. Edwd. Da Costa
That the said William Edward Da Costa< no role > on the 6th. day of
August 1776, being Balking in certain River called the River
Thames and near unto the Houses an Millbank in the Pary
of St. John the Evangelist Westmr. it so happened that accidentally
Casually and by Misfortune he the William Edward
Da Costa in the Waters of the said River was then and there
suffocated and Drowned of which suffocation and Drowning
he the said William Edward Da Costa then and there instantly
Died. And so the Jurors on then Oath say that the said
William Edward Da Costa in Manner and by the means aforesaid
accidentally Casually and by Misfortune came to his Death and
pot otherwise. It Witness whereof the Foreman on behalf of
himself and the rest of the Jurors has hereunto set his Stand
this 7th. day of August 1776.
