7th. August 1776.

Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of Charles Green< no role >
That the said Charles on the 4th. day of August 1776
going into the River Thames near to Somerset Stairs with
an intent to Bathe himself it so happened that accidentaly
Casually and by Misfortune he the said Charles Green< no role > was
in the waters of the said River then and there suffocated
and Drowned of which said Suffocation and Drowning he
the said Charles Green then and there instantly Died. And
so the Jurors or their Oath say that the said Charles
Green in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally
casually and by Misfortune came to his Death and not
otherwise. In Witness whereof the Foreman on behalf
of Himself and the rest of the said Jurors has hereunto set
his Hand this 7th. day of August 1776.
