Says that after some Blows had been struck by each
of them the Deced had a fall, Says that they afterwards
fought, that Boyce struck the Deced [..]
on the left side of his Head which brought him down
and as he fell Boyce struck him another Blow in
his Stomach, Says that the Deced's Second endeavoured
to left the Deced up, but Deced could not stand and
appeared to be quite helpless and lay down upon the
Ground, upon which Dept. went away.

Butcher on his Oath saith That Joseph Belshaw< no role > the Deced
was a Butcher and had worked with Dept. about a week
Says that Deced one day last week in the Shop told him that
he was to Fight the Chairman Boyce on Sunday Morning
next, that it was on old Grudge, and that he would Fight
him every Sunday Morning until New Year's day
Twelve months as Dept. understood him, Says that he
endeavoured to perswade the Deced not to Fight, but Deced
said that he would Fight, Says that on Sunday Morning
last a little before Ten o' Clock Deced told Dept. that he
was going to Fight Boyce in Tothill Fields , and accordingly
went with eight or ten Men in his Company, Says that
he soon after followed the Deced to the Bell in Old Pye
Street where he met Boyce coming out at the Door, and
saw the Deced in the House, and desired he would not
Fight but Deced said that he came on purpose and would
Fight, and accordingly went into Tothill Fields where
he waited about a Quarter of an hour before Boyce
appeared, That Boyce then went into a Publick House that
and stayed about a Quarter of an hour, That the Deced
went with Dept. into another Publick House, and that
on hearing that Boyce was come out into the Fields Deced
went out, that Boyce asked him if he meant to Fight
to which Deced answered, He did, That a Ring was made
wherein they stripped and went to Fighting, Says that
Blows were struck by each of them and that the Deced
had a fall, That they fought again and that Boyce struck

and that a Man endeavoured to lift him up, but Deced could
not stand, that he was asked if he wod. Fight any more but
Deced made no Answer, and lay down upon the Ground
where he expired in about ten Minuets and Dept.
believes that his death was caused by the Blows he
reced from Boyce in Fighting Says that Deced told
Dept. that he fought Mr. Ward a Butcher 's Servant last
week, And this Dept. says that Boyce recommended
the Deced to be Servant to Deponent.

Charles Collis< no role > Servant to Mr. Mills Coachmaster in the
Broad way Westmr. on his Oath saith, That on Sunday
Morning last Dept. was at home when a Boy came
to him from John Boyce< no role > desiring him to go into Tothill
Fields to be Second to Boyce who was going to Fight
Says that he went into Tothill Fields just at the time that
Boyce and the Deced were going into the Ring, which
was made by a great number of People, Says that the
Deced and Boyce stripped and Fought a little while, where
Deced had a Fall, that they afterwards fought, and that
Boyce struck the Deced under his left Ear which made
him Stagger, and immediately after another Blow on his
left side, when the deced fell down, Says that the Deced's Second
endeavoured to left the Deced up, but Deced could not stand
nor Speak, and Dept. thought the Deced was dying. went
away and left the Deced there. And Dept. believes that
the Deced's death was owing to the Blows which he reced from
Boyce in Fighting
