Informations taken this Seventh day
of June 1774 at the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex upon an Inquisition touching the
death of Zephanial Collins< no role > lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County

William Haynes< no role > Apprentice to Mr. Foulger a Chairmaker
at Walham Green on his Oath saith, That on Sunday last
about Seven o'Clock in the Evening (June 5.) he this Dept.
and Richard Collins< no role > went to take a Walk, and walked
up to the Sign of the Bell and Anchor a Publick House
at Hammersmith Turnspike, where Deced was Drawer
and there drank with the Deced three Potts of Beer
and three Shillings worth of Brandy and Water
Says that about Nine o'Clock the same Evening this Dept.
Richard Collins< no role > and the Deced come out together
and went down the Lane that leads to North End
in order to go home the Deced going to send Dept.
& Richard Collins< no role > towards home, the Deced being
some Yards behind the others, and all of them
in Liquor, Says that he looked back and saw
the Deced staggering across the Road towards a
Ch [..] rist then drawn by two Horses in the Lane
just as the Horses were turning the Corner, Says
that the Coachman was driving his Horses fast
and that the [..] Deced lay upon the Ground
unable to got up, Says that they carried the Deced
back to the Bell and Anchor where a Surgeon
was fetched who Examined the Deced, and Dept. saw
his face very Bloody, and Dept. believes that the Deced's
hurt was merely Accidental.
