Wentmr. on his Oath saith That last week between One and two
o'Clock in the Morning or thereabouts (Dept. does not recollect the day)
Mr. Michell, Mr. Griffiths and Mr. John Roberts< no role >

come together to Mr. Margeram's House
and called for
a Bottle of Wine, Says that the Deced appeared to be
a little in Liquor, and that said Michell and Griffiths
appeared to be Sober, Says that the Deced and his
Companions went into the Publick Room above Stairs in
which there were at that time about Thirty People
Drinking, among whom were some Women, Says
that the Deced and his Companions stay'd in the Room
about half an hour Drinking their Liquor, during which
time all Persons were very peaceable and quiet, Says
that he went down Stairs for a Negus and on his Return
into the Room (which was in about two Minutes) he saw,
Mr. Griffiths's face Bloody, the Company appearing to
be in Confusion, and having had some Quarrel, Says
that he informed Mr. Michell (who was then below
Stairs) that his Companions were Quarreling above,
and that said Michell immediately went up with
Deponent, that they met the Deced at the top of the
Stairs, who told Michell that they had some Words
and that he would go again into the Room, Says that
he endeavoured to perswade Deced not to go back into
