saith, That on Saturday Morning last Deponent was standing
at his own Door, and sawthea Man (whom Depont. did not know) crossing Bond Street
from Maddox Street
towards the King's Arms
, in the sd. Parish
of St. George
Hanover Square
, Says that he saw the Man fall
down upon the Causeway in Bond Street
, and that no
Person was then near him, Says that he immediately went
to the Man, and found him lying upon the Ground with
his face downwards, Speechless, Says that the Man was
lifted up byDeponent andsomeotherPersons and carried
to the side of Mr. Davies a Baker's House, Says that he
went to Mr. Simpson an Apothecary
in Bond Street
, who
sent his Servant directly in order to Bleed the Man
Deponent says that he returned with Mr. Simpson's Servt.
and found Mr. Webster and another Gentleman with the
Man who had Attempted to Bleed him, but the Man did
not Bleed, anddiedDeponent was informed in about
five Minutes afterwards that the Man was Dead, and
says that he saw a Person carrying the Man unknown
away upon his back, when Deponent believes that he was
Dead. and Deponent believes that he died in a fit of an
Apoplexy.
