Information taken this fourteenth day of
April 1762 at the Parish of Saint Margaret
Westmr . in the County of Middx on an Inquisition
taken on View of the Body of Thomas Arnold< no role > Hammond
there lying dead.

Charles Shury< no role > Cooper to Mr. Barnaby Green< no role >
Brewer of the Parish of St. Margaret Brewer
on his Oath Saith that Dept. and Thomas Arnold< no role >
on Saturday hight were returning from Chelsea to
Mr. Green's Brewhouse with a Dray laden with
an empty Butt and an empty Firkin, drawn by
three, Horses Dept. and said Arnold riding upon
the Dray, nobody on Foot attending the Dray
saysthat about thirty Yards on the other Side.
Chelsea, water Works towards Chelsea,sayssd
thatArnold who was driving the Hour whipt the shaft Horse, upon which
the shaft Horse immediately flew out, and the Thillas's Tugs
or pins which secure ll's Horse to the Shaft being
out, he immediately quitted the Dray, upon which
the shafts came to the Ground and the two
Trace Horses continued dragging Us Dray & Coug
the Shafts remaining or the Ground that upon
the Shafts falling to the Ground he the said Arnold dropt from
the Dray to the Ground, and the near Wheel weat
over the deceds Body, and Dept. took the first
Opportunity of throwing himself from the Dray
and in falling receives several Bruises says
the Dray and Horses are the property of the said
Mr. Green, says he knows not the value of the
Dray or Horses these matters being to tally out
of his provives.

Infirmary on his Oath saith that on Saturday Night
the deced was brought to said Infirmary a Patient
as a casualty, and dyed onMondayTuesday Morning: says
hewas by when Mr. Humpbreysheard Mr. Watson
say that he supposed the deced had a Rupture in his
Bladder and was of Opinion the deced dyed by the Accident
