says that the next Morning she asked the deced how
he came to be in that Condition, that the deced informed
her that in going up to his Chambers; upon the first Landing
Place he reced a Blow from Some body, he could not tell
who, (there being us Light in the Stair Case) which made
him insensible and he knew not therefore how he was
brought up to his Chambers. says the deced informed he
could not tell who could do it, unless it was Mr.
Nicholson who had threatened to be revenged on him
on Account of the deced's arresting him the Wednesday
preceding, says She attended her Broker to the time of
his Death, which was onWeThursday the eleventh instant
says he complained of a pain in his Breestandsays that
her Brother was very well on Tuesday the 2d. instant when
she went out and before that time had enjoyed a very good
State of Health, and verily believes her Brother's Death
was occasioned by some Ill usage he had reced.

Robert Brooks< no role > aged about eleven Years, on his Oath
saith that he lived with and was maintained by the
deced. that on Tuesday the 2d instant about half an hour
after Seven in the Evening Dept. heard a great Noise which
shook the Chambers which made Dept. imagine some thing
was falling, that presently after the Noise one Mrs. Wright
who lives in the opposite Chambers knocked at the deceds
door, upon which Dept. went to the Door, and Mrs. Wright
informed Dept. that Mr. Davies lay at the Bottom of the
stairs half dead, says he took a Candle and on going down
part of the Stairs, met Mr. Bagshaw, and Mrs. Orman the
Wife of the Porter belonging to the Jun, bringing his Master
up Stairs. says byMrs. Ormdirection be fetched a Bason
of Water and a Towell for to wash the deced who was
bleeding at his Mouth and Nostrils, and appeared to Dept.
to be quite Senseless. says they laid the deced on the Bed.
says that presently after Mr. Bagshaw and Mrs. Orman
were gone Mrs. Mary Davies< no role > Sister to the deced came in
says be continued laying on the Bed with his Cloaths or for
about three or four boars, when his sister pulled of his Cloaths
upon which he cryed they have murdered me I am murdered

says he saw the deced after he was put to Bed but he did not
speak, and that soon after the deced was in bed Deponent
went to Bed. says the next Morning he heard the deced say
he had reced a Blow, and suspected it was from one Nicholson
who had threatened to be revenged of deced because he had
arrested him says that before Mr. Davies was brot. up Stairs
in manner aforesaid he was in a good State of Health, except
having a Cough with which he had been attended several Years.

John Bagshaw< no role > of Clements Inn Hatter and Hosier on his
Oath saith that on Tuesday the 2d Instant upon hearing some
body was hurt in a stair Case belonging to the Inn Deponent
went and found the deced lying at the Bottom of the Stairs leading
to his Chambers No. 5 in Clements Inn , says he knew the
deced, that he found him bleeding very much at the Mouth and
Nose, and that there was a great Quantity of Blood upon the
Floor, says he raised the deced up upon the Ground by the
assistance of Mr. Thomas Wills< no role > , says the deced appeared to be
quite sensless, he asking the deced several Questions in relation
to his being in that Condition, but reced no Answer; says he
appeared to Dept. to be much intoxicated with Liquor he
dwelling very strong as a person in that Condition, says they
carehelpt him up Stairs into his Chambers, says Directions
were given to Robert Brooks< no role > to get Water and a Towell, and
the deced's Face was washed in Depts. presence; says they
laid ll deced upon the Bed pulled of his Shoes and then left him.
says he believes from the deced's appearing to be much intoxicate
that on his endeavouring to go up Stairs, he fell down and
reced his Injuries from the fall. says that Dept. took notice of
the deced's being intoxicated, and that Mrs. Webb, Mrs. Wright
and Mrs. Orman then present were of the same Opinion with
Deponent.

Thomas Wills< no role > Clerk to Mr. Burn of Clements Inn
residing in the same Stair Case with deced says that upon
hearing a great noise in the Stair Case, he called out, and went
out to see what was the Matter that he found the deced at the
Bottom of the Stairs upon the Floor. says he assisted in taking the
deced up and in conveying him up Stairs, saysthe deced appearedhe was of opinion
that the deced wasto him to beintoxicated with Liquor, and imagined that he fell
down upon that Account
