Order for Removal of Twenty Male Convicts to the Hulks in Portsmouth or Langston Harbour

Sheriffs of London and Middlesex 17. December 1793.

Gentleman, His Majesty having been pleased to give directions that Twenty Male Convicts under Sentence of Transportation in the Gaol of Newgate
should be removed from thence on board the Hulks in Portsmouth or Langston Harbour and Committed to the Charge of James Bradley< no role > Esquire Overseer of the
Convicts on Board the said Hulks I am Commanded to signify to you the Kings Pleasure that you do cause the said Convicts if upon being Examined by
an experienced Surgeon they shall be found free from any putrid or infectious distemper to be removed on Board the said Hulks where they are to remain until
their Sentences can be carried into Execution or be otherwise disposed of according to Law

P.S. You will send with the Prisoners an Account of their Ages
and respective Sentences.}
