Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Joseph
Taylor< no role >
for himself says that Yesterday comming about five O'clock
as he was standing in Russell street opposite the Gellery Door of
Drury Lane Theatre he obseved the Prisoner Committy and another
Standing amongest the Croud and immediately behind an Old [..]
Gentleman when instantly on the door being opened they forced the
Gentlemanhis wifeinto a Coner and suspecting they had picked
his Pocket, Informant went in amongest them and enquired of said
Gentleman Whither it was so and in the man time said Connelly
and his Companion went into the two shilling Gallery Whither
he intended to follow them but was prevented by the Door keepers
And the said Robert Bersford< no role >
for himself says that being
imformed by said Taylor that said Connelly and his Companion
had gone into the Theatre he examined the Gallery but could not
find them and near Nine o Clock about the into some of half price
he observed said Connelly and two others coming down the two
shilling Gallary Stairs when he said sold of said Connelly
and secured him whom he then considered and now does
a reputed Thief
