Westminster


To wit. To the Constable, Headborough , Tythingman,
and other Officer of the Peace of the Parish
of Saint George Hanover of Square in the
Liberty of Westminster
within the said Liberty to receive
and convey. And to the Church Wardens,
Chapel Wardens , or Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish, Place or Precinct of Darlingston
near Wolnerhampton in the County of Staffords
or either of them to receive and obey

WHEREAS Martha Tonkiss was
apprehended in the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square
as a Rogue and Vagabond (videlicet) there found Wandering and
begging in the said Parish as upon Oath appears
and upon Examination of the said Martha Tonkiss< no role >
taken before me upon Oath (which
Examination is hereunto annexed) it doth appear that The Place of the last
legal Settlement of the said Martha Tonkiss is in the
Parish of Darlingston near Wolnerhampton in
Staffordshire

These are therefore to require you the said Constable, or other Officer,
to convey the said Martha Tonkiss< no role >
to the Parish of Ridge in ye County of hertford that being the first
Parish in the next Precinct, through which she ought to pass
in the direct Way to the said Parish of Darlingston to which
she is to be sent, and to deliver her to the Constable, or
other Officer of such Parish in such next Precinct, together with
this Pass, and the Duplicate of the Examination of the said
Martha Tonkiss taking his Receipt
for the same. And the said Martha Tonkiss< no role >
to be thence carried on in like Manner
to the said Parish of Darlingston
there to be delivered to some Church Warden, Chapel Warden, or Over-
seer of the Poor of the same Parish
to be there provided for according to Law. And you the said Church
Warden, Chapel Warden, or Overseer of the Poor, are hereby required to
receive the said Person, and provide for her as aforesaid. GIVEN
under my Hand and Seal this 9th Day of October
in the Year of our Lord 17 67
