The Examination of William Gentleman< no role > touch
the Death of Hugh Cochran< no role > taken and acknowledged
this 11th day of January 1757.

Who saith that on the 10th day of December last about
Ten or Eleven o Clock at Night one Chas Suter< no role > being at
this Informant house in Petty Fance Hugh Cochran< no role >
the deced came in whose Wife was in the House Whom
he desired to go home, and She went out of the Room
the deced Cochran< no role > talking to Chas Suter< no role > about some away
in the Room in his Defesurse he told him he deserved to
have his Ears cut upon which Suter replied that sooner
than he should cut his Ears he would have his hearts
blood upon which Cochran the deceased, Struck Chas Shater
and blows &Severse fullEnsued and falls; by which
Cochran received a Violent blow on his Head & this
Informant Sent for one Mr Clarh a Surgeon and he
further saith that there were no potts or weapons [..]
