To the Right Worshipfull his Majestys Justices of the Peace at their
General Quarter Sessions at Westminster assembled

We the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Martin in
the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex Do hereby
Certify that George Walthow a Footman to Sr. John Shelley< no role > Baronet in Duke Street
in the Parish of Saint James within the said Liberty of Westminster hath given
sufficient Security to Indempnify our said parish from the Charges which arose on
Account of the lying in of Mary Blades< no role > Singlewoman and the Maintenance of
the Male Bastard Child born of her Body in our said Parish on the Second day of
May last And do Consent and desire that he may be discharged from the Recognizance
in which he stands bound to Answer the Complaint of the Church wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of our said Parish for begetting the abovesaid Mary Blades< no role >
with Child as she made Oath.
