At the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Lord the King held at the
Town Court House near Westmr. Hall in and for the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter
of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter Westmr. the City Borough and Town of Westmr.
in the County of Middx and St. Martins Le Grand London by Adjournment on
Saturday to wit the tenth day of July in the sixteenth year of the Reign of
out Sovereign Lord George the second now King of Great Britain France
and Ireland Defender of the Faith Etc before Thomas Lediard< no role > James Traser< no role >
Samuel Edge< no role > Richard Manley< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices
of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the peace within the said
Liberty and also to hear and determine diver Felonies Trespasses and
other Misdeeds done and Committed within the said Liberty

Upon Reading the Humble Petition of James Leynham< no role > Exhibited to this Court
thereby shewing That the said Petitioner was an Apprentice to John Peter< no role > Vierne
and had served him truly about five years and Nine months And the Condition of
the Petitioner Indenture was he should learn the Trade of a Cabinet maker, but
instead thereof that the Petitioner had been wholly Employed in making Picture
Frames which business is not so good and beneficial as the other and that when
the Petitioners Term is Expired he will be Intirely Ignorant of the Trade ir business
to which he was Round.

That the sd. Petitioner had not Necessarys fit for and Apprentice having only
Bread and Beer and some times bread and water for several Meals in the Week

It was therefore prayed that this Court would take his Case into Consideration
and either Oblige the said John Peter< no role > Vierne to turn him over to some other Master
in order to learn his Trade and be better provided for with necessarys of Else that this
Court would be pleased to discharge him from his Indenture of Apprentice ship
It was Ordered that the said John Peter< no role > Vierne should attend this Court this day
at Nine of the Clock, in the forenoon to she cause why the said Apprentice
should not be discharged from his Indenture of Apprentice hood and the said
John Peter< no role > Vierne being duly served with a Copy of the said Petition and Order
Attended this Court accordingly and upon a full hearing of the said Matter
between the said Master & his said Apprentice and Examination of Several
witnesses upon oath as well on the behalf of the said Master as of the said
Apprentice It appeared to this Court that the said John Peter< no role > Vierne had not
found and provided for his said Apprentice sufficient and Necessary Provisions
It is thought fit and Ordered by this Court that the said James Leynham the
said apprentice be and he is hereby absolutely discharged from his said Indenture
of Apprentice hood to the said John Peter< no role > Vierne And we whose hands and seals
are hereunto set being four of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said Liberty
(one of us being of the Quorum) present at the said sessions have pronounced and
declared and do pronounce and declare that for the reasons aforesaid we have discharged
and do accordingly discharge the said James Leynham< no role > of and from his Apprenticehood
to the said John Peter< no role > Vierne and of and from the service of the said John Peter< no role > Vierne
accordingly Dated under our hands and seals the tenth day of July in the year of
Lord 1742
